Stage 1: Clarify

The problem:
"I know I can help people, but I don't know how to put it online." You've got years of skill and no idea what to sell, so you post tips and hope someone asks.
The solution:
Clarify. One person, one problem, one offer, in a single sentence you could sell this week. The narrower you go, the easier it is to sell.
The proof:
Lawrence Kenshin built recurring revenue around Striking Breakdowns while the brand was anonymous, going from four figures a month to five and doing his online business full-time. He did it without a face or a personal following, on the strength of a clear offer.

Stage 2: Validate

The problem:
You build a course or a website for three months, launch it, and hear crickets.
The solution:
Validate. Conversations before content, and The First Five: get about five people paying you for one simple coaching offer before you build anything bigger.

I'm Sean Fagan, and I help martial arts and fitness coaches turn what they already know into online income.

On paper: 35 pro Muay Thai fights. Founder of Muay Thai Guy, which has done over $5 million in online sales through courses, memberships, digital products and more than 40 retreats. About 288,000 followers on Instagram and 480,000 on YouTube. I've also worked behind the scenes with MMA Shredded, Striking Breakdowns and Muay Thai Technician.

But I started where a lot of you are. In 2011 I bought a one-way ticket to Thailand to fight. I was broke, teaching martial arts, coaching baseball, teaching ice skating and waiting tables to keep training. Every dollar needed me there.

I started a simple Muay Thai blog to keep fighting. It grew into a real business, but it took me years longer than it needed to. I overcomplicated things, chased too many ideas at once, and spent money on stuff that promised a lot and delivered nothing.

What I eventually figured out is the order. One clear offer for a specific person, proven with paying customers, then the content and systems built around what's already selling. Today Muay Thai Guy does around 40K a month on about 15 hours of my week, so I can train, travel and be home with my wife and two kids.
